Ayurveda Yoga Therapy Intensive Oct 2017 Four Days.

October 27th thru October 29th

Three day Onsite workshop/practicum for students enrolled in Ayurveda Yoga Therapy Program.

Ayurvedic Art of Threefold Assessment and Panchakarma (Trividhi Pariksha -Darshanam, Prashanam and Sparshanam) Workshop PART 1

Agenda:

AYURVEDIC Art of Threefold Assessment. Dashanam, Sparshanam and Prashanam. Client Encounters under a teacher.

Workshop Objective: At the end of the workshop, the student will understand the biofeedback systems from the nadi, jihva (tongue), Mukha(face), and through threefold art of assessment, and, apply it to Yoga Therapy. Students will observe clients under the guidance of their teachers

Day 1- Yoga Therapy and Marmas-Introduction, Using Marma as a biofeedback and Cikitsa tool to create asanas. Asanas that activate marmas of hands, feet, neck, back and abdomen. Threefold assessment system. Introduction to Darshanam, Self Nadi, Assessing biofeedback from face, and, marmas of face.

Yoga Therapy Student Clinic: Students are divided into groups and rotate through each group.

Day 2- Nadi Pariksha. Marmas of appendages and face. Using a pendulum on Marmas. Introduction to Panchakarma therapies. Biofeedback from nails, eyes, and Tongue. Assess each student, and, clients under the teachers.

Day 3 Nadi Pariksha. Ayurveda Yoga Therapy. Marma and Nadi Assessment. Vital Signs. Students are divided into groups and rotate through each group.

Agenda:

Ayurveda and Ayurveda Yoga Therapy is a complimentary health system. So, we rely on biofeedback and signals from the 'body' itself to assess the imbalances. In this workshop, student shall be introduced to the technique of Darshanam, Sparshanam and Prashnam, as well as feedback from the body through the three Nadis, Mukha (Face), Chakshu(Eyes), Jihva (Tongue) and Nails.
